Church Requirements

Churches that decide to employ the Youth Leadership program assume the following responsibilities to their youth.

t Understand that Youth Leadership is not designed for everyone in the church’s youth group.  The church should recognize that only Christian kids can fully benefit from Christian discipleship.

t Provide and encourage opportunities for Youth Leadership participants to be involved in ministry in and through their church.

t Provide a Youth Leadership coordinator, if possible, to oversee the local program; alternately, arrange with the sponsoring AMF missionary for this.

t Provide a facility for Youth Leadership meetings, usually twice a month.

t Provide financial support according to need and ability to do so.

t We encourage the church to donate remaining funds from each year’s Youth Leadership program and mission trip to the Summer Missionary Program (SMIs) of the local AMF operated camp.

t Provide transportation for your Youth Leadership group to their mission trip site.

t Ensure that Youth Leadership policies and requirements are followed in order to receive maximum spiritual fruit from the program.
